Week 8, Term 1

We have had yet another busy week in Renwick 3! Take a look at some of the things we have been doing.

On Thursday we have a visit from Moya. This was a fabulous opportunity to talk about being safe around dogs we don't know.
Moya was very friendly and gentle with us but all dogs are not like this. We decided that if we wanted to pat a dog we must always ask the owner first. If we see a dog tied up to a tree we should always wait to see their owner first before approaching it.

During P.E. we are concentrating on our catching skills. This is tricky stuff! We are focusing on keeping our eyes on the ball and getting our hands in the correct position.

If you have been into the classroom recently you will have noticed we have sectioned off part of the class for safety reasons. Renwick is in need of some urgent repairs so in the meantime we will be relocating to Renwick 1. This will be a temporary arrangement until the builders have completed the work.

During maths we are working facts about 10 and adding one more.

Next week Ann and I are on a course for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Caroline will be teaching for these days. I will be returning to school for the parents interviews.

* Book Character Dress Up Day - Friday 30th
* Kowhai Shared Kai - Tuesday 3rd April - more details will be sent home in a notice
* Library Day Friday - please help your child remember their library book
* Term ends on Thursday 5th April at 3pm

At the end of this week we will welcome Rosie to Renwick 3 and this will mean our class is full! We will have 18 champions shinning in Renwick 3.
Just a little bit of warning ...
*On Friday 30th of March we will be having a school wide dress up day for Book Month. We will be requesting that children dress in their favourite book character. More details will follow.
*On Tuesday 3rd of April we will be having a Kowhai shared kai to celebrate the end of our Healthy Eating topic. More details will follow.
